Langer & Messmer Boot stretcher
Instructions
Apply shoe stretch spray to the inside of your boot to relax the material for stretching.
If needed, insert the spot stretching plugs into the corresponding plug slots on the toe block prior to stretching
Insert the toe block into the forefoot part of your boot. Make sure to wedge it in far enough that the toe block touches the end of the toe area.
To widen the boot, turn the widening handle clockwise to expand the toe area. Once firmly wedged, turn 2 or 3 more times for a proper stretch.
Once your desired width setting is set, leave the stretcher in your boot for at least 24 hours.
To remove the stretcher, turn the widening handle counterclockwise to close the toe block and pull the stretcher out slowly.
Recommendation
Spray the identified areas on the shoes with a leather stretch spray included with the shoe stretcher. The leather stretch spray causes the leather to soften and stretch better. It is best to spray both the inside and outside of the desired spot to get the best possible results.
Leave the shoe stretcher in the shoes for at least 24 hours and put the shoe stretcher back in the basic position to remove it. Try on your shoes to check if the process has to be repeated. Eventually with a slightly wider open position. Go as with the first stretch. Several repetitions are more advisable than too much stretching all at once.
