The Langer & Messmer suede brush with rubber head combines two care steps in one tool: the brass and nylon bristles remove heavy soiling from suede and nubuck, while the rubber nubs on the head then lift the flattened nap back into its upright position and restore the original texture of the leather surface.
Suede and nubuck lose their raised nap through friction and pressure, taking on a flattened, worn-looking appearance. Restoring the nap with the rubber nubs is an important step after cleaning, one that a conventional bristle or crepe brush cannot provide. Both the brush and the rubber head can be cleaned with water and soap, which increases hygiene and durability. Made in Germany.
Which suede brush for which task? The rubber-head brush is ideal for shoes whose nap has already flattened, and for a thorough clean after heavier wear. For gentle everyday cleaning, the suede brush 15mm synthetic crepe is the right choice. For very stubborn stains with intensive bristle action, the suede and nubuck brush 20mm is available.
