Freiburg Shoe Shine Box in Solid Wood by Langer & Messmer
The Langer & Messmer Freiburg shoe shine box is a handcrafted storage case for shoe care products and brushes, made from solid linden wood, produced in the EU.
Unlike shoe shine boxes made from MDF or plywood, the Freiburg case uses solid linden wood throughout. The wood is stained twice, then treated by hand with a natural oil seal applied using a lint cloth. After a further drying period, the finishing coat is an oil-wax blend applied by hand using Livos products, which are based entirely on natural and renewable raw materials. The result is a surface that is both durable and environmentally sound. The Freiburg series is available in three colours: natural, cherry, and walnut.
