The History of the Full Brogue
The Full Brogue originated in Scotland and Ireland in the 16th century as a rugged shoe for farmers and rural workers in marshy terrain. Its characteristic perforations originally served a practical purpose: they allowed water to drain from the shoe. Over time, the holes became smaller and purely decorative. At the beginning of the 20th century, the English landed gentry adopted what had once been a working shoe and transformed it into a stylish classic – first for the countryside and hunting parties, later for city streets and offices.

7 mm Double Leather Sole with Visible Welt Stitching
The outsole is 7 mm thick and breathable. It does not appear bulky and creates a slim, clean look.

Brass-Nailed Heel
The heel is built from stacked layers of leather with a rubber heel piece secured with brass nails. The nail heads are visible from underneath – a detail that does not seek visual attention, but reflects quality and traditional craftsmanship. Brass nails help prevent the heel piece from tearing away and significantly extend its service life.
Goodyear-Welted Construction with Cork Filling
The upper leather, insole, surrounding leather welt and outsole are joined together with a double-stitched construction. Over the course of several months, the cork filling adapts to the individual shape of the foot. The shoe can be resoled multiple times without damaging the upper leather.
