Langer & Messmer 3-piece Exclusive Bordeaux Shine Brush Set
Give your leather products the care they deserve!
With the Langer & Messmer 3-piece Exclusive Bordeaux Shine Brush Set you will easily succeed.
The brushes in this exclusive set were made in Germany from local beech wood and are ideal for removing dust and polishing your smooth leather products and shoes.
These brushes are very densely packed and therefore have a longer life than standard brushes.
The wooden body is lacquered in a burgundy colour and has handle grooves that run all the way around for optimal handling.
The following brushes are included in this set:
- Made of local beech wood with slitted horsehair
- Brush dimensions: 185x50 mm
- Bristle length: approx. 37-38 mm
Brushes with horsehair are very efficient in their polishing effect and bring your shoes to a high shine. More densely bristled than standard brushes for a longer life.
With goat hair brushes you achieve an even higher and deeper shine than with horse hair brushes.
- Studded with real 100% goat hair
- Brush dimensions: approx. 185x50 mm
- Bristle length: approx. 25 mm
The correct use of the brushes
Before you can polish your leather product, carefully brush off the loose protection with one of the brushes or clean the leather with an appropriate cleaning agent. Then apply a leather care cream to the leather in small quantities using a jar brush or a cotton cloth. Let this soak in for about 5-10 minutes and polish the cream to a shine with the horsehair brush.
Much helps much or less is more?
Our recommendation for ideal smooth leather care
Always proceed in the same order and please check the compatibility of each care product, on a non-visible or concealed area. For handbags, the underside or the inside of straps and fasteners are ideal. For shoes, the area around the heel or even the tongue or flap is a good place to test the compatibility.
First clean the product to be cared for. Remove dust and light dirt with a horsehair brush or a soft cotton cloth. Deep-seated dirt and stains that have not completely disappeared in the first step should be treated with a suitable cleaning agent.
If you have used a cleaning agent, let it dry on the leather and then start the second step of leather care. Now apply a leather cream sparingly in the appropriate shade. Massage the leather cream into the surface using light circular movements and without applying pressure.
A darker shade will darken the leather.
With a lighter shade, the colour tone is retained.
After a resting period of approx. 10 minutes, polish the leather with a horsehair brush.
In the third and last step, apply the wax sparingly and gently in the same application mode. This protects the leather surface against the effects of weather and other influences. For fine polishing, you can use the goat hair brush. With the finer hairs you will achieve an additional shine on the shoes.
We wish you much success in caring for smooth leather and continue to enjoy looking at and preserving your leather product.
